In light of the ongoing concern regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, and because the health and safety of Highway Christian Fellowship staff and congregants is a priority, the following information and advice is being offered to the people of HCF:

All of our services and gatherings are continuing as planned. Any changes will be communicated via our website www.hcfsidney.ca

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, out of the abundance of caution, and respect for those around you, please remain at home. Our church services are live streamed on facebook. Our webpage also allows for online giving.

Until this outbreak is contained, please refrain from shaking hands during our gatherings. The administration of the church continues to monitor all recommendations provided by the Provincial and local health authorities.

As a church we continue to pray for God’s intervention in this health emergency. In Psalm 46, we are reminded that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, let us not fear, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others. So do not allow a spirt of fear control your life, 2 Timothy 1:7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The news around the Coronavirus is changing rapidly. Always refer to the Public Health Agency of Canada for local government guidelines for the most up-to-date information.
